Are action cams waterproof?
Not all action cams on the market are waterproof. Many have to be put separately into a waterproof housing, but that is usually included.

Can action cams be attached to a paddle?
Yes, a SUP paddle can be used very well as a kind of selfie stick for the action camera. To do this, a mount is attached to the top of the shaft as close as possible under the paddle handle.
