Construction
The Wowsea Trophy T2 (formerly AN 27) with its average dimensions and familiar contour is an absolutely classic allrounder. The rounded board tip (nose) and the solid width make the board a perfect companion for any beginner.
Its construction delivers a successful mix of stability and good running characteristics. For allrounder boards, however, the focus is primarily on a very high tipping stability.
The board has a total of 3 fins (2+1), the two small side fins are permanently installed and the large 25.4 cm (10″) center fin is removable via a plug system. This means you’ll be ready to go on the water in no time.
The Wowsea Trophy T2 has a thickness of 15 cm or 6″ and has a single air chamber.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any exact information about the volume. However, based on experience, the capacity should be around 280 – 300 liters.
Load Capacity
The maximum load capacity of the Wowsea Trophy T2 is given by the manufacturer as 150 kg. In my opinion, this is too generous, despite the very solid material construction. Ideal conditions find paddlers up to about 100 kg.
Who brings significantly more on the scale, should rather look around at the larger boards of Wowsea.
The Wowsea Trophy T1 (Cruise), for example, is quite a bit larger and thus offers you considerably more buoyancy. There are also paddle boards for tall people or heavy paddlers from other manufacturers.
Areas of Application and Driving Characteristics
Allrounder boards are, as the name suggests, built for broad, varied areas of use. Especially on lakes and canals you can gain the most beautiful experiences with it, as a beginner.
No board type is more versatile than the allrounders, for this reason they are the most common inflatable paddle boards (iSUPs).
A high basic stability enables fast progress, so that after a short time nothing stands in the way of the first, relaxed tour.
If you are then more confident, you can also dare to use this board on calm flowing waters and conquer smaller waves.
It forgives technical beginner mistakes and accompanies you safely through many beautiful experiences on the water.
Allrounders are no gliding wonders due to their wide cut design. The high degree of stability is unfortunately accompanied by increased water resistance, so that you cannot reach very high speeds.
This type of board is not designed for top performance, but offers you the best compromise to be able to cope with all conditions.
With its very high-quality workmanship and due to the good material quality, the Wowsea Trophy T2 can accompany you for many years and waters, even if you become interested in more specialized boards with increasing experience.
A good allrounder board opens you, especially in the beginning, the complete spectrum of SUP use.
Thanks to the spacious luggage net, you can also take enough provisions for a relaxed tour or a break on the water.
All the better that the manufacturer immediately adds a 10 liter dry bag. So your valuables (cell phone, keys, etc.) are safely protected from water damage.
Material and Weight
The outer shell of the Wowsea Trophy T2 is made of 2-layer PVC and is known in the trade as a “double-layer board”.
The 15 cm high core is made of a very large number of polyester threads (11200 per sqm), which are tightly woven together to achieve increased strength. This manufacturing technique is called “dropstitch”.
The rails (sides) are also 2-layered and reinforced at the transition to the top and bottom with a circumferential band (“rail band”).
This makes the board even more resistant to damage and increases the stiffness additionally. The PVC used (1000 denier) is of very high quality (military grade) and UV-resistant coated.
The weight of the Wowsea Trophy T2 is with approx. 12 kg in the middle comparison range. The multi-layer construction is of course heavier, but also much more robust and durable than a single-layer construction.
The Wowsea Trophy T2 is a classic allround board for beginners, perfect for every beginner. With its standard dimensions it is the optimal companion for the whole family, compact, solidly made and absolutely versatile. Due to its wide silhouette, it does not have perfect gliding properties, but convinces with a stable position and balanced driving behavior.
Workmanship
Wowsea shows a clear edge in terms of quality and workmanship.
The manufacturer clearly names the material used (2-layer PVC with 1000 denier) and the manufacturing processes and underlines this product quality with a 2-year warranty. In this price range, this is really rare to find.
The Wowsea Trophy T2 (AN27) is rock-solid processed and surprised me positively in the test.
The price/performance ratio is excellent. Especially as a beginner, it is important to find a high-quality and reliable board at a good price to save yourself unnecessary frustration!
Design
The basic color of the board is a strong turquoise. The deckpad in black, white and turquoise is decorated with graphic elements, as well as the manufacturer’s name and stands out in contrast. In the area of the nose is the logo of Wowsea.
The underside is solid turquoise and carries the manufacturer’s name and logo in white again in the center. The rails are black in the back, turquoise in the front area and are framed by the also black rail bands.
The sides are labeled with the board size (10’6″), the slogan, and the name and logo of Wowsea.
I find the design harmonious and sporty. I am convinced by the clear, rather simple color scheme and the graphic design elements. Design is always a matter of taste, I personally like the Wowsea Trophy T2 very much.
Other Features
The Wowsea Trophy T2 has the following additional features:
- Deckpad: The large standing surface is textured with diamond embossing and made of slip-resistant EVA.
- Carrying strap: The board has a central carrying strap made of neoprene. This is also the center of gravity of the board if you want to carry it alone.
- 5 free D-rings: A very stable D-ring (for the leash) is located at the tail. In the current version, 4 more D-rings have been added on the deckpad, where you can mount a kayak seat!
- Large luggage net: In the front area a large deck net is attached to 6 more D-rings. Here you can safely stow your equipment or provisions, best in the included dry bag
3 fins: 2 small, permanently installed side fins and a large, removable 10″ center fin (plug-in system)
Accessories
The Wowsea Trophy T2 comes with the following paddle board accessories:
- Wowsea Trophy T2 board bag: the color-matched, very spacious board bag features a large main compartment, a smaller outer pocket and carrying straps (top and side). It offers enough space for the board + accessories and other equipment. It has fastening straps inside to keep everything in place. The carrying straps are only lightly padded and adjustable. Dimensions: 85 x 45 x 35 cm
- Wowsea Trophy T2 paddle: The included 3-piece paddle has an aluminum shaft, and the paddle blade and handle are made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon. It is continuously adjustable between 175 and 223 cm. The hollow space in the shaft is additionally foamed to make the paddle buoyant. A relatively simple but robust entry-level paddle with a weight of 940 g.
- Wowsea Trophy T2 double action pump (switchable) with pressure indicator: Included in the set is a switchable double action air pump with pressure gauge (pressure gauge). With this you can pump air into the board both when pulling up and when pushing down. When the back pressure increases towards the end, you can switch to single-stroke operation by unscrewing an included screw, thus reducing resistance. In addition, the pump can also suck air out of the board, which is especially useful for rolling the board in more easily. For this function, the compressed air hose must simply be screwed to the other opening.
- Wowsea Trophy T2 replacement pressure gauge (manometer): Included is a replacement pressure gauge for the double action air pump.
- Wowsea Trophy T2 10″ fin: The kit includes a large, removable 10″ (25.4 cm) dolphin-shaped center fin. This simply slides into the rail and is secured with a pin. This system is called a plug-in or slide-in system. Fins in the plug-in system clearly have the advantage of speed compared to the US box system (with screw and threaded plate). The disadvantage is the lack of choice of fins for retrofitting.
- Wowsea Trophy T2 coiled leash: A very robust, so-called coiled-leash is also included. With this spiral-shaped safety leash you can connect yourself to the board at the ankle. If you fall into the water, the leash stretches to its full length and prevents the board from drifting without you. Please never ride without a leash…it can be a lifesaver!
- Wowsea Trophy T2 dry-bag: The included 10 liter dry-bag allows you to carry your valuables protected from water. These waterproof pack sacks are really indispensable, so it’s even nicer that the manufacturer includes a matching model!
- Wowsea Trophy T2 repair kit incl. valve wrench: With this you can repair minor damage to the board itself. With the valve wrench you can check the valve for tight fit.

The Wowsea Trophy T1 (former names Wowsea Cruise or Wowsea AN26) is a great all-round paddle board for beginners. The 2-year warranty rounds off the very good price / performance ratio and is for many beginners certainly a convincing purchase argument.
Only the rather heavy paddle with aluminum shaft and the relatively simple pump I would not recommend in the long run.
