The Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ is a great choice for beginners. The board comes at a very affordable price, has a great built quality, provides stability and offers some board features.

Yes it is!

The Itiwit X100 10′ is a very popular model for beginners, and we do understand why: The board is affordable, has great built quality and offers many features.

But will it fit your needs? Keep reading to find out!

The Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ is a recreational paddleboard, especially designed for beginners. Also, there is the larger version Decathlon Itiwit X100 11′ which is also very popular.

In another post, we talked about the similarities and differences of the Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ and 11′.

Most lightweight paddlers will prefer the smaller and more affordable version Itiwit X100 10′. Paddlers weighing more than 75 to 80 kilograms or if you want to bring your kid or dog along, you should get the X100 11′.

Some little nugget here, the shorter Itiwit X100 10′ also takes less time to inflate as the volume is smaller.

Decathlon also offers touring boards (X500 series) and racing boards (R500 series). If you are looking to do long paddle tours or want to compete in races, those boards are the ones you should look at.

The Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ is very affordable considering how much it offers in terms of built quality. Sure, there are cheaper boards available over at Amazon. However, those boards just can’t compete with the stiffness and quality of Decathlon.

The board is well-built. You will like the deck pad, the grooves in the front and back to place your feet and also the bungee cords to store your stuff (so you can take your fishing rod with you).

When reviewing the Itiwit X100 10′, we couldn’t find any issues with the glueing, stitching or any other production errors.

On a side note, we’ve also published a comparison of the Decathlon paddleboards vs the Lidl paddleboard.

On a side note, when reviewing the Lidl paddleboard (which is even more affordable than the Itiwit X100 10′), we’ve noticed countless spots on the boards. And, other customers did as well.

This shows us that Decathlon really did something great. It’s for sure not the standard to build such a high-quality paddle board for such a low price.

A speciality of Decathlon is that they do not ship their boards with many accessory gears. When buying the Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ there just is a leash, a backpack and a repair tool kit included.

You’ll have to get a paddle, an air pump and maybe additional gear yourself.

We don’t think that this is an issue, as you can get any paddle or air pump used from a second-hand marketplace, get a spare gear from friends & family or just purchase them.

In general, investing in decent gear is a great idea. Having high-quality gear makes the whole paddleboarding experience much better. You can find more about this in our post about which gear is included with the Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′.

The Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ is a great choice for beginners. Sure, there are cheaper boards around, but they don’t offer the same quality as the Decathlon.

Hi, my name is Max. In 2016, on my first SUP trip, I was still a bit shaky on the SUP board. But quickly the ambition grabbed me and my passion for SUP was ignited. That’s why I founded stand-up-paddling.org the same year. Our mission is to help beginners discover this sport and bring more transparency into the market with our in-depth product reviews.
