In our review, it took us 3:50 minutes to inflate the Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ up to the recommended pressure of 15 PSI (or about 1 Bar).
The Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ is a great board for beginners. As not so experienced paddlers often got some questions, we started this series to answer simple questions about popular models. In this post, we’ll discuss how long it takes to inflate the Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′.
The time you need to inflate the Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ depends on your physical fitness level, the quality of the pump and the size of the board (we’ll talk about the different version of the Decathlon Itiwit X100).
We recommend using a double-action pump to inflate the board. Inflating a board using a double-action air pumps is faster than with a single-action pump. It’s less physically demanding and, typically, single-action pumps are of a quite bad quality.
Nowadays, most sold paddleboard pumps are double-action pumps. That’s why the brands still shipping their boards with single-action models, really went for the cheapest alternative out there to get for their paddleboard sets.
With a double-action pump, you inflate the board up to 4 to 7 PSI in double-action mode and then switch to single-action mode to pump it up to 15 PSI.
On another note, we recommend filling up the Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ to the max recommended 15 PSI (or slightly above 1 Bar) as this adds extra stiffness and stability.
We tested the Decathlon Itiwit X100 10′ with Decathlon’s double-action air pump. It took us around 3:50 minutes to inflate the Itiwit X100 10′ up to 15 PSI.

The Decathlon double-action pump was not included with the board itself. In fact, Decathlon has a policy to not include much gear with their boards. E.g. there is no pump and no paddle included when purchasing a Decathlon paddleboard.
For comparison, we needed 5:30 minutes to inflate the larger version of this board (the Itiwit X100 11′) to get it to 15 PSI. The one foot longer version also got a larger volume, that’s why it takes some more time to inflate.
