Paddle boards can weigh up to 15 kilograms (33 lbs). Especially the big all-rounders are also difficult to grip. The arms have to be quite long and even then carrying is not really comfortable. SUP risers (also called transport slings) provide a remedy.

Such a transport strap for paddle boards is simply strapped around the board. The board can then be placed relaxed on the shoulder and is much easier to carry.

When you use a paddle board transport belt, you use your whole body when carrying instead of just your arms. The contact surface on the shoulder is also usually padded, so you have no straps afterwards.

The paddle also gets in the way when carrying the board. Most of the time I have to walk twice and the second time just for the paddle. If the walk from the watering hole to the car is farther, that always feels a little uncomfortable to leave either the paddle or the board unattended.

Often there are SUP transport straps with paddle holder. These models have an extra loop to attach a paddle to.
