Construction
The Aztron Nova is built very compact with a length of 305 cm (10′) and a width of 81 cm (32″). Both the rolled up board and the accessories fit easily into the handy backpack.
The shape of the allrounder is typically rounded, which means the nose, board tip, and tail are rounded. This design provides good tipping stability and, due to the length-to-width ratio, also a high buoyancy, which ensures a safe stand.
Load Capacity
The Aztron Nova is 15 cm (6″) thick, which gives it a high volume and makes it very robust. In addition, the increased capacity improves the rigidity and therefore the position on the water.
The load capacity also increases with increasing volume. According to the manufacturer, this is 115 kg. My recommendation is about 85 kg maximum load, so as not to risk any loss of driving characteristics.
The two air chambers are pumped up one after the other to 15 PSI, which corresponds to about 1 bar. The middle and smaller chamber is inflated first.
On other boards, this air chamber is slightly larger and the iSUP is therefore stiffer, on the Nova the chamber is slightly smaller and therefore not quite as stiff. However, the stability on the board is supported.
